The project is a residence located on the hillside of Cihangir, on Susam Street, overlooking Meclis-i Mebusan Avenue, which stretches from Tophane to Dolmabahçe along the Bosphorus line, the site enjoys stunning views of the Bosphorus and the Historic Peninsula through its proximity to significant landmarks like Galataport and the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. At its rear, the project engages with the historic facades of Susam Street, fostering a warm and intimate connection to the local neighborhood.

Spanning a total of approximately 165 square meters of net usable space, the interior has been redesigned to meet the needs of its inhabitants. With a singular gesture, a curvilinear wall carves into the existing plan of the house, creating a linear axis of living, working and entertaining areas that connect to each other seamlessly and open up to exterior views at both ends. The entryway opens up and widens towards the façade, inviting the user to take in a panoramic view of the Bosphorus, while working and private spaces are oriented towards the rear and overlook the cozy streetscape of Susam Street.

The dual axis open layout creates an organic flow, fostering a sense of balance between the need for openness and intimacy within the dwelling. The restrained palette of the interior is enhanced by sliding glass panes that open onto the terrace, allowing the light and colors of the city, Bosphorus, and sky to flow in. The orthogonal recesses at the curvilinear volume are signified by accent materials and colors, aluminum at the access portals, and colorful ceramics for the wet areas.
