MAS Architecture Studio Meeting Kerim Miskavi Team Design Meeting

MAS is an award winning architecture and design practice based in Istanbul, established in 2018 by Kerim Miskavi. Through an iterative, concept driven approach, the studio engages in projects of various scales and media ranging from custom-made furniture design to large-scale urban transformations.

MAS continues to develop its local and international architecture projects through all design stages from concept to construction administration and has completed several interior design projects with residential, office and retail programs in the past
five years.

The design proposal for Izmir University of Economics Guzelbahce Campus has been awarded First Prize by the Izmir Chamber of Commerce as a result of a national design competition that collected 54 entries. Project is in progress for the first 110.000 m² of academic, administrative, social and sports programs. With enabling works already underway, the aim is to start construction in 2024.

A 240-unit mid-rise residential development in Mersin, Turkey undertaken from master-plan concept through construction administration is currently under construction while a workshop and office building complex in Basra, Iraq, a 60-unit residential tower in Istanbul’s business district, Levent, a residential expansion in Berkeley, California and a villa in Baghdad, Iraq are planned to break ground in 2024.

In addition to its project practice, MAS values the discipline’s theoretical framework and aims to engage in the international dialogue via various platforms. The studio’s architectural installation titled “Barjeel”, inspired by the traditional wind towers of the Gulf, showed at Dubai Design Week 2019.

MAS’ entry to the National Competition for Erenköy Medical Health Campus received the Purchasing Award in 2020 and “A Place to Stand Still” won the Jury Prize at the 25th Golden Plumb Awards organized by the International Building Catalog in 2022. MAS has been featured in Turkey's Architecture Yearbook by Arkitera for three consecutive years with NAYA Studio, PH7800 and Ilıca Residence projects. PH7800 has been further recognized internationally as a finalist for the World Architecture Festival 2022 and nationally by the DAC Space Best of Interior Design Selection.

MAS is dedicated to achieving solutions that make a difference through its experience in operating across geographical boundaries, open communication with clients and teamwork as well as a rigorous design process.
