Located on the southern slopes of Sapanca Lake, the project site benefits from its natural topography and serene surroundings of low-rise residential clusters, standalone homes, agricultural fields, and gardens. The northward slope of the land offers uninterrupted lake views, while the southern half, at a higher elevation, has been designated for residential use.
The design embodies a balance of functionality and personalization, seamlessly integrating the architecture with the natural landscape and lifestyle aspirations of the users. The concept focuses on creating a permeable and continuous spatial experience that maximizes the potential of the site, ensuring usability throughout the day and year.
The residence is designed to support an active and nature-oriented lifestyle while prioritizing comfort and ease of maintenance. The house features two distinct wings, connected by expansive shared living spaces. Centralized communal areas with high ceilings and a large fireplace, framing the lake view and encouraging togetherness during family gatherings and leisurely weekends. Verandas and covered walkways extend the living spaces outdoors, creating opportunities for seasonal use and a connection with nature. A pool house, located at the basement level, is equipped for year-round use and includes adjacent facilities such as a wine cellar, enhancing the leisure and hospitality aspects of the home. Supported by auxiliary structures for utilities and maintenance, the design responds to the dual needs of privacy and shared enjoyment, providing a contemporary retreat that reflects the surrounding geography and the lifestyle of its users.
